I bought the QuietMax 3 headphones for my daily train journey, and I must say that the noise cancelling is excellent. The first time I switched it on, the loud train disappeared and I could hear nothing but my music. It felt like magic.
The headphones are light and comfortable. After two hours I still did not feel pain around my ears. The battery lasts for about thirty hours, so I charge them only once a week. The sound is clear, and the bass is strong without being too heavy.
There is only one problem. The noise cancelling is so good that I missed my station twice. I did not hear the announcement, and I also missed a fire alarm on the platform. My colleague had to tap my shoulder. I felt very embarrassed.
The price is 180 euros. That is expensive, but not crazy for this quality.
Who should buy them? People who travel often and need peace. Who should not? People who must hear the world around them, like parents with small children or anyone who lives next to a fire station.
Overall: great headphones, but use them with care and always keep one ear free in an emergency.
